Johann Yurgen

Johann S. Yurgen is the Operations & Group Tour Manager for the Koshland Science Museum. He started his career with the Academies in 1979 as a contractor. Since then Johann has held a wide variety of positions including managing the Audio Visual and Special Events in the Joseph Henry Conference Facility and Manager of Conferences and Special Events at the Georgetown Conference Facility. For 12 summers he was assigned to manage the Woods Hole Center special events, audiovisual needs and procurement. In 1990 he received the Support Staff Presidential Award in recognition of his work. He was reassigned as the Operations Associate of the Office of Administration, where he was in charge of several renovations at the Constitution Avenue Building. Johann received his BA from the University of Michigan.
